Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Happy Patterns LLC (“Happy Patterns”, “we”, “us”) handles information for our websites and software products, including apps that access device hardware such as the camera.
Last updated: 2026-02-09
Summary
- Camera data: When our apps use the device camera, we process images/video locally on the device. We do not upload live camera video to cloud servers unless a specific feature explicitly states otherwise.
- No sale of personal data: We do not sell personal information.
- Support contact: Privacy questions can be sent to our support page.
Information we collect
1. Camera and related app data
Some Happy Patterns apps request camera permission to provide camera functionality (for example, UVC camera preview, capture, or processing).
- We access camera frames only while the feature is in use (for example, when the camera screen is open and active).
- By default, camera frames are processed locally on-device for the requested feature.
- Captured photos/videos are stored only at the user’s direction (for example, when the user taps “Save”).
2. Diagnostic and operational data
To keep products reliable, we may collect limited diagnostics such as crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics. Diagnostics describe application behavior (for example, failure codes, timestamps, device model/OS version), not the content of camera frames.
- We avoid collecting sensitive content in logs (for example, images, video frames, or user-generated media).
- If a debug build or explicit “share diagnostics” flow exists, it will describe what is included before you send it.
3. Website data
Our website is a static site. Like most websites, hosting providers may process basic request data (for example, IP address, user agent, and access timestamps) as part of normal delivery and security operations.
How we use information
- To provide core app functionality (including camera preview/capture/processing).
- To maintain stability, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
- To respond to support requests and compliance inquiries.
How we share information
We do not share personal information with third parties except:
- Service providers used for hosting or distribution (for example, app stores or website hosting) as needed to deliver the service.
- Legal reasons if required to comply with applicable law or valid legal process.
Data retention
- On-device camera processing: Camera frames are processed in memory and are not retained by us.
- Saved media: If you save photos or videos, they remain on your device (or chosen storage) until you delete them.
- Diagnostics: If collected, we retain diagnostics only as long as needed for troubleshooting and product improvement, then delete or anonymize.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to minimize data collection and reduce risk.
Children’s privacy
Our products are generally not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Your choices
- You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device settings.
- You can delete locally saved media from your device storage.
- You can contact us to request deletion of diagnostics you submitted through support (when feasible to identify).
